活动预告 | 疫情下中印关系走向及其对亚洲未来的影响

2020年是中印建交的70周年，中印关系站在了新起点，但与此同时，疫情席卷全球，两国都遭受到了不同程度的冲击。政府为应对疫情而采取的措施深深地影响着中印关系的良好发展。中印作为亚洲举足轻重的经济大国，其关系的发展也影响着亚洲的未来。

5月15日，全球化智库（CCG）将与印度顶尖智库Synergia Foundation合作举办线上会议。本场会议将汇聚包括前印度驻华大使拉奥琪，前中国驻印度大使孙玉玺，Synergia基金会总裁Tobby Simon，全球化智库（CCG）理事长王辉耀，联想高级副总裁、首席战略官及首席市场官乔健，Thyssen Krupp 董事总经理Gopi Hanumanthappa，武汉大学人民医院血液内科副主任医师叶柏新，毕马威中国首席经济学家康勇等中印外交官，医学专家，商界代表及相关领域专家学者，就两国如何合作抗疫并共同面对疫情中潜在机遇与挑战、中印合作对亚洲未来发展的作用以及中国在抗击疫情中的经验教训等话题，进行深入交流与研讨，旨在推动中印合作抗疫，为危机下的亚洲寻求更好的发展。

About the event

As of May 14, India reported 78,055 total confirmed coronavirus cases as the global tally stands at 4.42 million. While Indian authorities struggle to control the spread of COVID-19 and manage the socio-economic costs, many see that Sino-India ties, which were due to celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relationship this April, took a hit amidst controversies emerged from issues such as FDI rules and pharmaceuticals. Against this backdrop, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) is hosting a virtual conference in partnership with Synergia Foundation, a top Indian NGO, to feature dialogue and conversation among eminent diplomats, experts and stakeholders from the two Asian powers and the world’s largest emerging economies on: 1) how India and China can work together to fight against COVID-19; 2) how Chinese and Indian businesses view the challenges and opportunities posed by the pandemic; 3) the role of China-India cooperation in the future of Asia.

Amb. Nirupama Rao was India's first woman spokesperson in the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi, the first woman high commissioner from her country to Sri Lanka, and the first Indian woman ambassador to the People’s Republic of China. She served as India’s Foreign Secretary from 2009-2011. At the end of that term, she was appointed India’s Ambassador to the United States.She is a member of the Advisory Council of the Women in Public Service Project, the Wilson Center, Washington D.C. She is an Independent Director on the Board of ITC Limited, KEC International Limited, JSW Steel and Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd.

Amb. SUN Yuxi was Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Afghanistan (2002–2005), India (2005–2007), Italy (2008–2010) and Poland (2010–2012). He was spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and deputy director of its information department. Amb. SUN is former President of China-Poland friendship Association.As a career diplomat, he worked for more than 60 delegations headed by state or government leaders to 138 countries.

孙玉玺，曾任中国驻波兰、意大利、印度、阿富汗等国特命全权大使、外交部阿富汗事务特使、外交部发言人，中国波兰友好协会会长。作为职业外交官，曾随同中国国家及政府领导人出国访问60余次，足迹遍及138国。曾作为中国代表团成员多次出席联合国大会、20国集团峰会、亚太经济合作组织领导人非正式会议、亚欧首脑峰会、东盟地区论坛、上海合作组织总理会晤、中国与中东欧国家总理会晤。
