5月9日晚，中国兵器工业集团发悼文：中国工程院院士，我国外贸155毫米自行火炮武器系统的主要奠基人和开拓者，中国兵器工业集团有限公司研究员级高级工程师苏哲子同志，于2026年5月9日11时50分在北京逝世，享年90岁。
