今天介绍的是"ethereal"
这个词的基本义为：“extremely delicate and light in a way that seems not to be of this world. ” 即，一种精致的、闪光的、轻盈的、微妙的美，仿佛不属于这个世界的美。比如，宇宙深处绚丽的银河、从花草上坠落散射万道金光的露珠等。
还有一层引申义为“heavenly, spiritual or otherworldly”，即，天籁的、空灵的、缥缈的，可以用来形容声音，天籁之音。我觉得young and beautiful这首歌就适合用这个词来形容。
张培基先生翻译的《雾》里面有这样一句话：
