With 13 years of experience in teaching at international schools, I earned my bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Tianjin University and was subsequently admitted to the master’s program in applied mathematics at Nankai University on the basis of outstanding academic performance. As a bilingual mathematics teacher, I teach a variety of mathematics courses, including those aligned with the North American curriculum, the Commonwealth curriculum, the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), and the Canadian curriculum. I actively participate in professional development workshops for international educators and have guided students who have gone on to attend universities around the world.

Olive Liu’s teaching style is a vivid embodiment of her philosophy on education. She is dedicated to helping students truly understand the value of mathematics. The North American-oriented mathematics curriculum she teaches “offers a broader scope of knowledge compared to the standard school curriculum, providing an excellent foundation for university-level mathematics courses abroad, particularly in North America.” This prepares students to avoid the challenges of language barriers and insufficient foundational knowledge when they pursue their studies overseas in the future. “Furthermore, the exams allow for a margin of error, giving students room to make mistakes and experiment.”
