据日本广播协会(NHK)报道，当地时间12日下午，日本汉字能力检定协会在京都清水寺宣布，“熊”字当选为2025年日本年度汉字。
据报道，“熊”字当选的理由是，日本多地出现“熊出没”事件，导致熊害频发，并引发日本民众担忧和不安。
日本汉字能力检定协会自1995年起评选年度汉字。日本2024年度汉字为“金”。
