近日，新建牡丹江至敦化铁路项目建设用地预审获得自然资源部办公厅函复，标志着牡敦高铁前期工作取得关键进展。
东北高铁网络以三大纵轴为骨干脉络。
第一纵轴是哈大高铁（哈尔滨至大连）
第二纵轴是东部高铁通道（佳木斯 - 牡丹江 - 长白山 - 沈阳）
第三纵轴是西部线路（齐齐哈尔 - 白城 - 通辽）
