5月12日，在相关媒体报道称海港外援让-克劳德可能进行脚踝韧带手术一事后，海港跟队记者刘闻超发文否认。
此前，《足球》报发文表示：新援让-克劳德两度受伤，上海德比中的受伤可能导致脚踝韧带手术，康复期或将更长。
对此，刘闻超在回复球迷提问时说：（下一场能不能上）要看恢复进程啊，我不好妄言，不过他并不存在需要脚踝手术的情况。
