63中是南开区的一所公立校，小升初属于南开中片，是一所初中校，没有高中，2016年加入了南开翔宇教育集团。
今年新增了一个长江新校区，在长江道543号，新初一18个班在这里上课，据说是新初一要在这里上两年，初三再回老校区。
这两个校区距离比较远，大概4公里左右。
