10月29日晚，亚足联年度最佳颁奖典礼在韩国举行，韩国球员孙兴慜获得2023年度最佳球员。
据统计，孙兴慜分别在2015、2017、2019与2023年获得亚足联年度最佳海外球员奖项。
该奖项于2012年首次设立，其中孙兴慜一人夺得4次，韩国球员金玟哉也在去年获得，另外日本球员香川真司、长友佑都、冈崎慎司、长谷部诚也获得过该奖项。
