China is willing to facilitate regular government-to-government and business-to-business exchanges to help put economic and trade relations with the United States back on a sound and stable development path, Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao said on Friday, according to a news release on the official website of China's Ministry of Commerce.

China will continue to optimize its business environment and provide high-quality services for foreign-invested enterprises, Wang said during a meeting with Apple CEO Tim Cook in Beijing.
Wang said that China and the US have a mutual interest in beneficial economic and trade relations, which are an anchor of the bilateral relationship. China welcomes Apple to seize the opportunities presented by the Chinese market and to continue to expand its presence there.
Cook stated that Apple views China as a vital market and a crucial supply chain partner, and is committed to its long-term growth in the country. Apple will continue to invest in areas such as the supply chain and research and development in China.
Apple is willing to continue serving as a bridge in facilitating communication and exchanges in the China-US economic and trade field, Cook added. (By Ma Ziqian/China Youth Daily)
