当地时间7月29日，美国能源部公告称，在战略石油储备（SPR）最近一次原油招标合同敲定之后，美国能源部证实，已经购买并交付或确保在2024年12月之前交付的原油超过4000万桶。除了通过与国会合作取消之前的强制销售而获得的1.4亿桶石油之外，这使得自2022年以来购买或保存在SPR中的石油总量达到了1.8亿桶。
