启明星奖学金项目汇总：4类10项助力卓越发展

“启明星学者”是启明星学术类奖学金里的极高荣誉。颁布第一年，当时9年级的黄宇扉就获奖了。“学霸”——这是老师对他的评价。

已经11年级的宇扉的学术成绩长年名列前茅，数学成绩尤为突出。他多次从国际数学竞赛捧杯回来——就在刚刚过去的2022年，他在英国数学测评（高级SMC）捧回金奖，在美国数学思维挑战（AMC10/12）中获得AIME晋级资格，在滑铁卢数学竞赛中荣获卓越奖……他也参加英文辩论，2021年世界学者杯比赛中，他和小伙伴一举挺进耶鲁总决赛。

被称为“学霸”的宇扉可不是“书虫”，他是学生会活动的积极一员，也爱好读书、运动、打游戏、看日漫。他不无自豪地说，在全国5000万“王者荣耀”的玩家里，他曾经最高排到2000多名！

庄子墨是另一位“Well-rounded（全面发展）”的学生。11年级的她也在启明星读了11年。提到她，大家不只会想到她频频上台领奖的样子：连续2年的学术荣誉奖学金、英文和视觉艺术学科奖、关爱和卓越核心价值观奖、科学展第一名、国际象棋比赛第一名、学者杯最佳辩论队辩手.....更忘不了她打鼓时飒飒的样子！

兴趣广泛的子墨

谈到对于启明星核心价值观“卓越”的理解，子墨说：“学术卓越是其中的一部分，我们也需要开阔视野，积极地关注并帮助他人和社会，把在课程中学到的知识运用到更加广泛的领域里。我希望未来可以继续用我的好奇心探索社区和世界，就像社会创新项目的目的一样，寻求自己热爱的事物并且持续用它激励自己——让我参与、让我改变、让我以后有机会更好地服务于社会，帮助需要帮助的人！”

启明星GCI 奖学金

简介

该奖学金是启明星与Global Citizenship Innitiative（GCI）建立的新型合作关系。GCI是一个位于美国的教育类非营利组织，设计并实施培养拥有关爱之心的领导者的项目。每期奖学金授予一名高中学生，支持其参加GCI著名的英才计划。英才计划以在世界一流大学，如哈佛大学、圣安德鲁斯大学召开的峰会开始。峰会之后，学生将在导师指导下、用9个月时间完成自己的社会创新项目，以解决当地的、但具有全球意义的问题。

启创·创新想象力基金

简介

启创·创新想象力基金旨在鼓励和支持各个年级的创新者。他们可以关注和发现身边社区和校园里的、与联合国可持续发展目标相联系的需求，并且制定和实施相应的解决方案。 给予申请者多少基金取决于方案的预算，最高为2000元人民币。评委会在给予基金的同时也为学生执行该方案提供指导支持。评审每月滚动进行。

所有学生必须首先符合启明星学校的入学标准才能申请或获得奖学金，也就是说，启明星奖学金项目面向启明星的返校生和新生。此外，获得奖学金的学生除符合各个奖学金具体要求外，也必须是品格优秀、行为端正，能够为启明星社区带来正面影响的学习者。

Among Daystar’s Academic Scholarships, being chosen for the Daystar Scholar is a great honor. Huang Yufei was selected as the first recipient of the Daystar Scholar when he was Grade 9. Teachers describe him as a “top student.”

For many years, Yufei has remained at the top of the class in terms of academic performance, and he does especially well in math. He has won many medals at international math competitions. For example, in 2022, he won the gold medal at the Senior Mathematical Challenge (SMC), qualified for AIME in AMC 10/12, and received the Certificate of Distinction at the Waterloo Mathematics Contest. He has also participated in English debate competitions. During the 2021 World Scholar’s Cup, he and his teammates entered the finals.

Being a top student doesn’t mean he’s a book worm. Huang Yufei is an active member of the student union and also enjoys studying, playing sports, playing games, and reading manga. He proudly said that among the 50 million players of the online game “Honor of Kings” in China, he once ranked in the top 2,000.

Zhuang Zimo is another well-rounded Daystar student. As a Grade 11 student, she has been at Daystar for 11 years. When mentioning her, everyone thinks of how often she goes on stage to accept awards: Academic Merit Awards, English and Visual Arts Subject Awards, Core Value Awards for Caring and Excellence, first place in the science fair, first place in the chess competition, and a member of the Best Debate Team at the World Scholar’s Cup. People also remember her stirring drum performance.

Zimo Zhuang with broad interests

Speaking on her understanding of excellence as a core value at Daystar, Zhuang Zimo says, “Academic excellence is just a part of it. To be excellent, we must broaden our horizons, care about others, help people and society, and apply what we learn to a wide range of fields. I hope to continue exploring the community and the world with curiosity, just like Social Innovation Program wants us to do—to seek what we love and use it to inspire ourselves. In other words, the program encourages me to participate and change, and it gives me opportunities to better serve society and help those in need.”

Huang Yufei, a student with extensive interests and outstanding merits, and Zhuang Zimo, a student who understands how to put her knowledge and skills into practice, are both excellent representatives of Daystar.We recognize and award these excellent students and inspire and encourage them to tap into their fullest potential to serve society. This is the original reason Daystar set up the scholarship program. It is also meant to reward students who are courteous and willing to work hard and innovate for the world around them.

The new year has begun. Here, we will provide a comprehensive and systematic introduction to our scholarship programs so that everyone can better understand Daystar through our principles and missions.

Daystar Courageous Scholars

Introduction

The Daystar Courageous Scholars award provides college tuition for students who are accepted by top universities. This is to support the student’s journey to make a difference in the world.

Eligible students will receive an award equal to their college tuition (up to ¥500,000 or USD equivalent per year) each year for four years beginning in 2023.Tuition will be paid directly to the university on behalf of the student.

Scholarships focusing on Social Innovation

Dr. Paul S. C. Hsu Social Innovation Prize

Introduction

This prize is awarded to students who have completed an impactful social innovation project. An award of ¥50,000 will be granted to each award winner, with up to three winners being selected across Grades 6-12.

Daystar GCI Scholarship

1

Introduction

The Daystar GCI Scholarship is a partnership with the Global Citizens Initiative (GCI), a nonprofit that designs and implements programs to foster caring and creative leaders. The scholarship is awarded to one student to attend the renowned GCI Fellowship Program. The program begins with a summit held at prestigious universities such as Harvard University and St. Andrews University in Scotland. After attending the summit, students have 9 months to complete their glocal (global yet local) social innovation project with the support of a mentor.

Inno-Imagine Grant Award

Introduction

The award is designed to cultivate social innovators of any age. Students can reflect on issues they care about and explore their community or campus to identify a need and create and implement a solution proposal to help address that need, linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The award is a financial grant of up to 2000RMB based on the solution proposal budget and the Committee also provides some coaching/mentoring support to students to implement their project. It is a rolling application with the Inno-Imagine Grants Committee meeting monthly to decide on the applications.
