新华社马尼拉6月8日电（记者赵晨捷 李萌）菲律宾南部8日发生7.8级地震并伴随多次余震。据当地媒体报道，地震已造成至少1人死亡、4人受伤。
菲律宾火山地震研究所发布的最新消息说，棉兰老岛附近当天7时37分发生7.8级强震，震源深度33公里，可能引发周边地区海啸灾害。
