在利雅得举行的全球创意女性大会Creative Women Forum Saudi Arabia 2025上，财经双语主持人、《艾问iAsk》创始人艾诚发表主旨演讲——《拥抱AI相信爱》。她以中国视角，讲述女性如何用领导力与爱，影响人工智能时代的未来。

At theCreative Women Forum Saudi Arabia 2025in Riyadh,bilingual financial hostandfounder ofiAsk Media & iAsk Capital,Gloria Ai, delivered her keynote speech “BridgingWorlds: Media, Capital, and the Rise of Female Leadership” under the theme “Embrace AI, Believe in Love.” From a Chinese perspective, she shared how women can use leadership and love to reshape the future in the age of artificial intelligence.

第一部分：从基什岛到利雅得—从恐惧到自由的旅程

Part1: From Kish Island to Riyadh —

A Journey from Fear to Freedom

今天我想分享的主题是——每个人心中都有一个未解之谜：这一生，到底该相信什么。

The theme I want to share today is simple, yet timeless:What should we truly believe in during our lifetime?

2015年，我第一次来到中东，在伊朗基什岛做TED演讲。那天，我成了历史上第一个登上伊朗TED舞台的中国女性。但我印象最深的，不是演讲本身，而是那种被凝视的压抑。台下坐着几位穿着黑衣的“道德警察”，他们的目光锁定在我身上，只要我的头巾稍有松动，我就可能被带走。

In 2015, I came to the Middle East for the first time. I gave aTED TalkonKish Island, Iran. That day, I became the first Chinese woman ever to stand on an Iranian TED stage.But what I remember most… was not the speech. It was the silence. The stares. In the audience sat men in black—the so-called "moral police." Their eyes never left me. If my headscarf slipped, just for a moment I could be taken away.

那是我第一次走出中国来到中东，灯光亮起的那一刻，我深吸一口气，对自己说：“人生而自由，不能活着活着就忘了。”那天我裹着严实的头巾讲完了演讲，而从那以后，无论在媒体还是投资的事业里，我都没有停止用公益的方式去鼓励更多女性，去寻找属于自己的自信与自由。

It was also my first time in theMiddle East. I was afraid. But when the spotlight came on, I took a deep breath and I thought: "We were born free. And We must not forget it." That day in Iran, I kept my headscarf tight. I finished my talk. I made a choice. A choice to ignore fear and still choose love. Still choose purpose. And since then, beyond media and investment,I have never stopped supporting women through philanthropy. Encouraging them to find their own confidence. Their own freedom.

十年后的今天，是我第二次来到中东，站在沙特的首都利雅得——世界上最大的女子大学——诺拉·宾特·阿卜杜勒拉赫曼大学。我由衷地祝贺每一位在场的女性——2018 年，沙特女性终于可以自由驾车。那不仅是一张驾照，更是一份信任——信任女性能掌舵自己的生活，也能驱动一个国家驶向更好的明天。

Ten years later, I am here again. In theMiddle East. InRiyadh.AtPrincess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University— the largest women's university in the world. And I want to say: Congratulations. To every woman here. Since 2018, Saudi women have been able to drive. Freely.Behind each driving license is not just your freedom. It is also a nation moving forward.

赋能女性，从来不是特权，而是国家进步的支柱。

Empowering women is not a privilege. It is a pillar of national progress.

第二部分：从黄山女孩到世界舞台：好奇心的力量

Part2: From a Huangshan Girl to

the World Stage — The Power of Curiosity

法国作家波伏娃曾说：“我们不是生而为女人，而是渐渐成为女人。”我也一直在摸索：余生该如何生活、如何成为真正的自己。感谢全球创意女性论坛，给我机会向比我更勇敢、更智慧的各国女性学习，大家来自德国、新加坡、美国、英国、墨西哥等三十多国。

Simone de Beauvoironce said, "One is not born, but rather becomes a woman." Like many of you I am still learning how to live with meaning. And how to become the woman I hope to be. Thank you to theCreative Women Forumfor inviting me to learn from so many brave, wise women from all over the world from 30+ countries like Germany, Singapore, the US, the UK and Mexico etc.

我出生在1987年的中国安徽黄山——那是改革开放十年后的中国，一个距离利雅得7000 公里的地方。那里是世界自然和文化遗产，丝绸之路连接着我们两个文明古老的土地和我们的故事 。但我出生的第一道题是：“作为一个女娃娃，我重要吗？”在当时重男轻女的社会观念里，男孩是喜讯，女孩却被忽略。后来因为中国的一胎政策，我成了家中唯一的孩子，又变得有点重要了。

I was born in1987, inYellow Moutain, China — a UNESCO Natural and Cultural World Heritage site,7,000 kilometersfrom here. TheSilk Roadonce connected our two ancient lands and our stories today. But the first question I faced as a newborn was: As a baby girl did I matter? In my traditional society, where boys were preferred no one celebrated my birth. Later, as the only child under China's one-child policy, I became "a little important." But still, not quite enough. Because I was told: "A clever girl or a girl with talent is not a virtuous girl."

我的奶奶，一个没上过一天学的老人，有一次悄悄对我说了最“大逆不道”的话：“别信他们，相信自己！女子有才便是德。你叫艾诚——用热爱与诚实相信自己。”从那天起，我就告诉自己：人生可以没有掌声，但一定要有读书声！

Then my grandmother — who never went to school a single day in her life — whispered to me the most rebellious words I had ever heard: "Don't believe them. Believe in yourself. A woman with talent IS a woman of virtue". She named meAi Cheng— in Chinese means "Love" and "Honesty." So I made a promise to myself:I may not have applause in life but I will always have the sound of learning.

17岁那年，我以地区高考第一的成绩走出黄山，成为家族历史上第一个上大学的女孩——那年我第一次见到真的火车。不管你信不信，我其实从21岁才真正开口用英语交流。

At the age of17, I became the top student in my region. I went toBeijingto become the first woman in my family to attend university — it was also the first time I had ever seen a train. No matter you believe or not, I started to really speak English since 21.

从黄山到北京，从北京大学到哈佛大学，从央视纽约财经评论员到人工智能领域投资人，我用好奇心，一步步走向世界。我学习传播学，也努力让媒体成为连接强者与弱者的桥梁。我幸运的是——我没有相信那些让我“安静”的声音。但我更清楚地看到，世界上仍有太多女性被出身、贫穷、性别、偏见所束缚。

Since then,curiositybecame my passport. FromYellow MountaintoBeijing,fromPeking UniversitytoHarvard Kennedy School,froma CCTV commentatorin New Yorkto anAI investortoday. I studied communications. I worked tomake media a bridge — speaking for the powerless, supporting the innovators. I'm grateful,I didn't believe the voices that told me to stay silent. Yet, I know, nowadaystoo many women still struggle in silence. Bound by their origins, by poverty, by gender, by bias.

所以我要为今天这场论坛点赞——教育让女性不再文盲，但还未让女性不被忽视。如果你已经被听见，能否帮我一个忙，请记得为那些还未被听见的人发声。

That's why I admire thisForum.Education has freed millions of women from illiteracy but not from invisibility.If your voice is heard today please do me a favor—remember to speak for those who still cannot.

第三部分：创立 艾问 iAsk — 让中国创新有面孔

Part3: Founding iAsk — Giving Chinese Innovation a Face

今年，诺贝尔经济学奖把“以技术创新驱动增长”的研究再次带到聚光灯下。我相信，真正推动世界前进的，从来都是那些把技术变成现实的人——创始人。

This year's Nobel Prize in Economics once again spotlighted how technological innovation drives growth.I believe that those who truly push the world forward are the founders — the ones who turn technology into reality.

哈佛毕业后，我放弃了金融的高薪与娱乐业的高光，加入中央电视台财经频道，成为驻纽约的财经评论员。很快我发现一个悖论：

全球约1500家独角兽大多来自中美，但在硅谷，人们能说出“乔布斯—苹果、扎克伯格—脸书、马斯克—特斯拉”的人物与公司一一对应；

After Harvard, I walked away from high salaries in finance and the glamour of entertainment to join China Central Television(CCTV) as a financial commentator based in New York. Then, I encountered aparadox.

While nearly 1500 global unicorns are predominantly from China and the U.S., in Silicon Valley, people can match faces to companies — "Jobs-Apple, Zuckerberg-Facebook, Musk-Tesla".

而中国的崛起是Faceless Rise无面崛起，更多被看见的是中国在制造，却很少被看见“谁在塑造中国”。

这不是能力的缺席，而是中西文化与叙事的不同——在中国，集体主义先于个人主义，公司品牌先于个人创始人。

Yet, China's rise has been largely a "faceless rise".The world saw "Made in China," but rarely saw "Who is shaping China."

This was not an absence of capability, but an absence of culture and narrative — where the collective precedes the individual, and the brand overshadows the founder.

现场互动下，“世界上最远的距离是什么？”“从知道到做到！”

于是我回到中国创业，创立艾问 iAsk 媒体与资本，用中英双语记录与投资中国与世界的创新者，让创新“有面孔、有故事、有温度”。

"What is the longest distance in the world?" "I believe is from knowing to doing!"

So, I returned to China to foundiAsk Media & Capital. We interview and invest in innovators from China and the world in both Chinese and English,giving innovation "a face, a story, and a soul."

Over the past decade, we have:

· Launched the "Global Founders Summit," creating an "industry ranking" of top founders and leaders across sectors;

· Our content has attractedbillions of cumulative views online.

很多人问我：“艾问为谁而问？哪来的控制不住的勤奋？怎样回应对女性创始人的偏见？为什么选择最难的‘每日更新'？如何同时带队做媒体、资本和大会？”

我的回答很简单：做不了伟大的事时，就用伟大的方式做好每件小事。

我从没把“我是女性”当成限制。我不追求“男女平等”四个字，我追求人人被平等对待。

People often ask me: "Who does iAsk ask for? Where does this relentless drive come from? How do you respond to bias against female founders? Why choose the hardest path of 'daily updates'? How do you simultaneously lead media, capital, and a global summit?"

My answer is simple:When you can't do great things yet, do every small thing in a great way.

I never saw"being a woman" as a limitation. I don't just pursue the phrase "gender equality" — I pursue equal dignity for all.

在投资上，我们早期支持了字节跳动（TikTok 母公司）、中国最大的音频平台喜马拉雅，近年也重点投资了地平线等AI企业；

In investment, we early-backedByteDance (TikTok's mother company),Himalaya — China'slargest audio platform, and are recently focused onAI and Robotics industry.

参与探索发现频道真人秀《功夫学徒》获中国新闻奖；

与新华社合作《中国名牌》；

围绕“中国制造 2025”，我走进近百家制造企业，见到了世界上顶尖的无人工厂，主持“隐形冠军”访谈系列；

出版了三本书：《创业不死法则》、《奋斗是一种信仰》、《创业的常识》。

We participated inDiscovery Channel's realityshow"The Day I Ran China,"who won aNational Journalism Award; And also we Partnered withXinhua News Agency on "China Brands"; Aligned with"Made in China 2025 national policy"I visited nearly 100 manufacturing enterprises and the best unmaned factories in the world and launched the "Hidden Championsseries; and also I'vepublished three bookson entrepreneurship.

如果要用一句话概括我对创始人群体的初心：

“向那些疯狂的人致敬——他们不墨守成规，也不满足于现状；你可以赞美或质疑他们，但你无法无视他们，因为他们正在改变世界，推动人类向前。”

If I must summarize my original mission in one line: "Here's to the crazy ones — they are not bound by rules, nor satisfied with the status quo. You can praise or question them, but you cannot ignore them, because they arechanging the world and pushing humanity forward."

第四部分：AI 时代与爱 — 速度与方向

Part4: The AI Era and Love — Speed and Direction

我叫艾诚，You can call me Miss Ai。我相信AI 能让我们跑得更快；而中文里“艾”的谐音是“爱”，“诚”是“诚实”——爱与诚实，决定我们奔跑的方向。

My name isGloria. In Chinese, it'sAi Cheng..艾 (Ài) - Love, and 诚 (Chéng) -Honesty.You can also call meMiss Ai. I believeAI gives us speed. But in Chinese, "Ai"sounds like"Love", and "Cheng" means "Honesty".I believeAI accelerates our run. Love and Honesty determine our direction.

我曾对话过《人类简史》的作者尤瓦尔·赫拉利。他提醒我们：“越来越多人把决策权交给算法，AI可能让未来99%的人沦为无用之人，1%成为神人。”还有更重要的问题：如果“99和1”真的出现，99%将如何被对待？而那1%是否仍有动机为99%创造更好的生活？这不仅是技术议题，更是人性、伦理与全球协同的议题，任何一个个人或者国家都无法独自完成答案。

I once interviewedYuval Harari, author of "Sapiens". He reminded us:As more people hand decision-making power to algorithms, AI might render 99% of humanity "useless," turning 1% into "gods."An even more critical question remains:“If this division of "the 99 and the 1" truly emerges, how will the 99% be treated? And will the 1% still have the motivation to create a better life for the 99%?”

【Ai时代如何做人？】

我有三点实操性的建议——

1）用AI的人主动重塑世界，不用AI的人被世界重塑；

2）与其担心被替代，不如成为驾驭AI的先行者；

3）从现在起，每一项重复性工作，先问AI能替你做什么。

This is not merely a technological question, but one of humanity, ethics, and global collaboration. No single individual or country can solve it alone.How to Be Human in the AI Era?I have three practical suggestions —

1. Those who use AI will actively reshape the world; those who don't will be reshaped by it.

2. Instead of worrying about being replaced, become a pioneer who masters AI.

3. Starting today, for every repetitive task, first ask: What can AI do for me?

我个人是很感恩AI的，它让我可以兼顾三个孩子的母亲、全球飞行的财经主持人、以及支持女性公益事业的全国三八红旗手。

首先，AI帮我选择美丽的战袍。当我走进投资圈、科技圈，常常是一片黑色西装的世界。AI软件帮我推荐不同的红色套装，我创建了小红裙公益组织，鼓励女性在职场醒目而活使命而生！

其次，AI帮我更高效工作。清华苏世民学院做导师，支持中国女子大学学生的成长就业，同时成为家乡黄山大使为茶农公益卖茶。

最后，拥抱AI的一天24小时是这样度过的。ChatGPT写投资报告、无人驾驶解放我的双手、扫地机器人是我家劳模、DeepSeek输出了今天的演讲稿，此时此刻我正戴着中国最新的AI眼镜Rokid乐奇辅助我完成面向你们的演讲。未来，我即将发布我的数字人“Ms AI”以全球各种语言做前沿科技传播，向世界讲好中国创新故事。坦白说，我的生命正因为AI无限延伸。

Personally, I am truly grateful for AI, as it allows me tobalance my roles as a mother of three, a globally-traveling financial host, and a young woman leaderrecognized with National Awards..

· First, AI helps mechoose my "armor." When I step into investment and tech circles — often a sea of black suits — AI software helps me select from my collection ofred outfits. I founded the"Little Red Dress"non-profit to encourage womentolive visibly and purposefully intheir careers!

· Second, AI makes meefficient. It enables me to mentor atTsinghua's Schwarzman College. I am a trustee and support career development initiatives atChina Women University.Also I serve asan ambassador for my hometown Yellow Mountain City,helping my local tea farmers.

· Finally, in a single 24-hour day:ChatGPT analyzes investment reports, autonomous driving frees my hands, robot vacuums serve as household heroes, and DeepSeek helped me draft this very speech, and now I'm wearing the AI glasses from China Rokid to help me finish the standing up speech with you guys. I will lanuch my digital twin Ms AI to speak in different languages and tell the world cutting-eding technology and innovation stories from China. My life is definitely and infinitely extended by AI.

回到今天我主题演讲的第一个问题，我们到底该相信什么？请坚定地拥抱 AI技术和生而为人学会好好爱。

What should we truly believe in? Please,have the resolve to embrace AI technology, and keep unconditional love as human in this era.

第五部分：从东方到中东—用“她”的力量连接世界

Part5: From East to Middle East — Connecting Worlds with 'Her' Power

最后，把敬意献给每一位从沙特到中国、全球相隔千里却心意相连的女性。

今天，我们不只分享与倾听——

我们要共建桥梁：

第一，让更多中国企业走进中东以及全球市场；

第二，让中东资本投资中国与全球的科技未来；

So my final salute is to every woman connecting global links, from Saudi Arabia and China across the miles. Today, we are not just here to share and listen —we are here to build bridges:

1. Bring more Chinese technology companies to the Middle East and global market.

2. Channel global capital into the tech future of China and the world.

3. Ensure women's leadership continues to shine on the global stage.
