据CCTV国际时讯报道，此次美国历史上持续时间最长的政府“停摆”正在进一步导致空中交通管制员和地勤人员短缺，美国政府下令于11月7日开始削减全美40座主要机场的航班数量。据航班追踪网站数据，截至当地时间7日下午，全美已有1000架次航班取消、4000多架次航班延误。（东方视频 巢思远）
