乔治因训练受伤，于七月接受左膝关节镜手术，目前仍处在膝盖手术恢复期。
去年夏天，乔治与76人签下四年2.12亿美元顶薪合同。上赛季，他饱受伤病困扰仅出战41场比赛，场均16.2分5.3篮板4.3助攻。
