10月9日，美国特朗普政府以中国航司飞越俄领空获竞争优势为由，提议禁止其以此航线往返美国，限中方48小时回应，禁令或11月生效。
起因是俄乌冲突后，美俄互禁航司飞越领空，美航司绕飞成本大增，而中方可借俄领空缩短航程、降15%-20%燃油成本。
10月10日，外交部发言人郭嘉昆回应，称此举不利人员往来，要求美方反思自身政策 。
