记者1月21日从山西省统计局获悉，2024年山西省煤层气总产量134.3亿立方米，创历史新高，约占全国同期煤层气产量的80.6%。煤层气俗称“瓦斯”，是产自煤层中、以甲烷为主要成分的非常规天然气，其资源的开采对于减少煤矿瓦斯事故、扩大天然气供给、降低环境污染都具有重要意义。
