当地时间1月8日，墨西哥总统辛鲍姆对美国当选总统特朗普提议将“墨西哥湾”更名为“美国湾”后做出回应。辛鲍姆说，自1607年以来，“墨西哥湾”这一称呼得到了联合国的承认，也得到了国际社会的认可。
此前特朗普表示，应将“墨西哥湾”改名为“美国湾”。（央视新闻）
