今天 （8月3日） 最新消息，政府大厦大草场、加文纳桥、安德逊桥和埃尔金桥将被列为新加坡国家古迹啦！
政府大厦前的大草场 （The Padang） ，早在1822年就已存在。在英殖民时代，这里是运动赛场和举办节庆集会的地方。
大草场见证了许多新加坡重大历史事件。1966年，新加坡建国后的首个国庆庆典就在这里举行。
新加坡曾经发行的飞鸟系列钱币1块钱背面，记录了当时在大草场的盛况。

今年是新加坡开埠200周年，国庆庆典将再次在大草场举行。
平时，也会有很多人在这里野餐聚会、放风筝......
除了政府大厦大草坪，今天被列为国家古迹的，还有 新加坡河沿岸的三座桥 。
