5月18日是国际博物馆日，5月13日，国家博物馆发布消息称，为满足广大观众文化需求，2026年5月18日(周一)正常开放，当日09:00开馆，16:00停止入馆，17:00闭馆。
国家博物馆提醒，该馆实行全员实名预约参观机制，可在参观前7日内通过中国国家博物馆官网、国家博物馆微信小程序和微信服务号预约免费入馆门票。
