4月19日上午，湖北宜昌网友发布视频称，明珠路附近一车辆发生爆燃，视频中可见车辆多次爆炸，现场明火浓烟不断，拍摄者因爆炸声连连惊呼。
当日上午，记者拨打了宜昌当地119报警电话，工作人员告诉记者，消防已至现场处理，无人员伤亡。
