2026年1月16日，据海外游戏行业媒体爆料，以《腐蚀》（Rust）闻名的英国游戏工作室Facepunch Studios首席运营官已向亚马逊正式出价2500万美元，拟收购其旗下即将停服的MMO游戏《新世界》（New World）相关知识产权及核心资产。
截至发稿，亚马逊游戏工作室及Facepunch均未对该收购爆料作出回应。
