品玩11月18日讯，据谷歌官方消息，Google DeepMind 与 Google Research 联合发布 WeatherNext 2，其为目前最先进的天气预报 AI 模型，可实现高达逐小时分辨率的预测，速度较此前提升 8 倍。
该模型基于新型“函数生成网络”（FGN）架构，能从单一输入生成数百种物理一致的可能情景，单次预测在单个 TPU 上耗时不到一分钟。
WeatherNext 2 已集成至 Google Search、Gemini、Pixel Weather 及 Maps Platform 的 Weather API，并将在未来数周内支持 Google Maps。其数据现已开放于 Earth Engine 和 BigQuery，并通过 Vertex AI 提供早期访问计划，供用户进行自定义推理。
