在此前的小组赛中，上海队一路高歌猛进，以A组头名晋级。1/4决赛中，上海队以22:17战胜广东队，挺进半决赛。半决赛中，上海队22:14击败福建队，成功闯入决赛。
决赛中，上海队以20:18战胜山东队，拿下冠军。
