当地时间6月26日，美国石油巨头及其游说团体敦促美国总统特朗普及其内阁成员利用与欧盟正在进行的贸易谈判，推动撤销欧洲绿色协议中的两项主要气候法规。
知情人士透露，特朗普政府官员在最近的谈判中催促欧盟官员缩减这些法律。
