4月8日，ATP蒙特卡洛大师赛次轮，头号种子兹维列夫遭贝雷蒂尼逆转，首战出局。
第一盘兹维列夫6-2取胜，随后贝雷蒂尼6-3扳回一盘。
决胜盘，兹维列夫虽然破掉贝雷蒂尼的第一个发球胜赛局，但贝雷蒂尼立马回破，并把握住第二个发球胜赛局，7-5再胜一盘，逆转晋级。
