She is the voice behind the iconic character Nezha in the record-breaking Chinese animated film Ne Zha 2. From landing the role to delivering a flawless performance, Lyu Yanting used her voice to breathe life into Nezha, portraying a legendary character who defies fate. In the process, she also discovered a stage where she could truly shine. Lyu, a voice actor and associate professor at Sichuan Film and Television University, recently sat down with us for an exclusive interview. She shared the behind-the-scenes stories and insights from her journey as a voiceover artist.

从接手到呈现：“整个过程协作感很强”

当吕艳婷第一次接到为“哪吒”配音的工作时，她并没有太多预设的概念。“我只知道要为一个叫哪吒的角色配音，”她回忆道，“但看到台词后，我发现这个哪吒可能和我们传统认知中的形象不同，从言行到形象都是一个全新的展现。”

影片中，哪吒沙哑的“小烟嗓”，让观众印象深刻。现实中，吕艳婷身为女性，本人的嗓音其实是温婉、明亮的。对此，吕艳婷介绍，用这种声音呈现哪吒，是导演决定的。“导演一开始就非常明确他想要的声音状态，”她说。

在配音过程中，吕艳婷不仅要精准把握角色的情绪，还要与动画的画面、节奏完美契合。“配音和演戏其实很像，”她解释道，“我们拿到的是台词的剧本，导演在现场讲戏，我们在自己对剧本和角色有一定理解力的情况下，根据导演讲戏，来完成最终的表演。”

During the dubbing process, Lyu not only had to accurately capture the character's emotions, but also synchronize perfectly with the animation's visuals and pacing. "Dubbing is very similar to acting," she explained. "We work with a script, and the director explains the scenes on set. Based on the director’s guidance and our own understanding of the script and the character, we work to deliver the final performance."

从接到角色到最终呈现，吕艳婷表示，是团队每个人配合与努力的结果，“整个过程协作感很强，每个人在每个岗位上，大家都把这件事很认真地去完成，然后尽可能达成一个大家都觉得很好的状态，最后呈现出来。”

From landing the role to the final presentation, Lyu emphasized that the result was a collaborative effort. "The whole process is highly collaborative, with everyone in their respective roles taking their work seriously and striving to achieve a result that everyone is satisfied with."

坦言“曾经有过孤独感”，现在“很幸运”

从接触配音到成为行业佼佼者，吕艳婷的职业生涯并非一帆风顺。她坦言，“曾经有过孤独感” ，但通过哪吒这个角色，她终于找到了属于自己的舞台。

Lyu's journey to becoming a top voice actor wasn't without challenges. She admitted to having "experienced moments of loneliness," but through the role of Nezha, she found a stage where she could truly shine.

她表示，能够通过如此优秀的角色展现自己的能力，是一种幸运。“哪吒把我以前自己喜欢的、琢磨的东西全都发挥出来了，”她笑着说道，“我特别感谢这么一个好的角色。”

She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to showcase her abilities through such an exceptional character. "Nezha allowed me to express everything I've been cultivating, including the things I've been pondering privately. It's all come to life through this character, and I'm deeply grateful for that."

自上映以来，《哪吒2》屡创票房神话，持续打破纪录。对于影片取得的成绩，吕艳婷表示，“看到全民的热情度，我觉得我们找到了属于自己的小骄傲。”

Since its release, Ne Zha 2 has repeatedly broken box office records, becoming a cultural phenomenon. Lyu couldn't be prouder of the film's success. "Seeing the audience's enthusiasm, I feel we've found a sense of pride," she said.

吕艳婷认为，《哪吒2》是能够体现中国动画水平的标杆，“未来我们在这个基础上会更好，会更有发挥。”

She believes Ne Zha 2 represents a benchmark for Chinese animation. "It sets a benchmark, and I believe we can build on this success to create even better works in the future."

哪吒的独特性：中国文化中的“侠义”精神

在吕艳婷看来，哪吒与西方超级英雄有着本质的不同。“西方超级英雄更多是个人英雄主义，”她分析道，而《哪吒》则深深扎根于中国文化，强调情感、人与人的连结。

In Lyu's view, Ne Zha 2 is fundamentally different from Western superhero blockbusters. "Western superheroes often embody individualism," she analyzed, while Nezha is deeply rooted in Chinese culture, emphasizing emotions and human connections.

“它不是说一个人去完成一个什么东西，而更注重的是情义，人和人之间的联系——父母的情、朋友的情，然后包括我们讲的‘侠义’，”吕艳婷解释说。

In Lyu's view, Ne Zha 2 is fundamentally different from Western superhero blockbusters. "Western superheroes often embody individualism," she analyzed, while Nezha is deeply rooted in Chinese culture, emphasizing emotions and human connections.

配音演员的修养：这样的角色“可遇不可求”

作为一名专业配音演员，吕艳婷深知驾驭多样角色的重要性。

“不会有那么好的、那么匹配你的角色就在那等着你，而且你一辈子也不可能只配那一个那么匹配你的角色。真的是可遇不可求的。”她表示，因此，专业配音演员需要不断提升自己的能力，去驾驭更多类型的角色。

As a professional voice actress, Lyu understands the importance of versatility. "You can't expect to always find roles that perfectly suit you, and you certainly can't rely on just one ideal role throughout your entire career. Such opportunities are rare—truly a matter of luck, not something you can count on. So, as a voice actor, you need to be able to adapt to a variety of roles."

“我们需要提高自己的理解力、阅历，以及对事物的一个不同的认知角度。可能在这些情况下然后再结合专业能力，才能去很好地完成我们未来可能会遇到的各种各样的角色。”

She emphasized the need for continuous self-improvement. "We need to improve our comprehension, expand our life experiences, and cultivate different perspectives. Only by combining these with our professional skills can we successfully portray the diverse roles we may encounter in the future."

“在喜欢它的时候，就好好爱它”

对于想要进入配音行业的年轻人，吕艳婷也给出了建议：如果你真的喜欢配音，那就把它做好。你可能不清楚未来，但可以把握当下。

For young people aspiring to enter the voice acting industry, Lyu offered this advice: If you truly love it, give it your all. You may not know what the future holds, but you can make the most of the present.

“我们只能把握现在的状态，比如在学生的时候，我就把这个东西学好。我在喜欢它的时候，我就好好地爱它，就为它做相应的努力。因为未来也不知道它在哪个时候会发光。”

"While we can't predict the future, since we're passionate about it now, let's give it our best. All we can do is focus on the present and make the most of it. If you're a student, study hard. If you love it, pour your heart into it and put in the effort. Because you never know when your passion will shine."

她表示，最喜欢哪吒的一句台词是，“你是谁，只有你自己说了才算。”

Her favorite line from Nezha encapsulates this philosophy: "Who you are is only for you to decide."
