巴黎当地时间7月24日中午，国际奥委会第142次全会投票通过，美国盐湖城获得2034年冬奥会主办权，这也是盐湖城继2002年之后时隔32年将再度迎来冬奥会。当日早些时间，国际奥委会刚刚宣布法国阿尔卑斯山地区获得2030年冬奥会主办权。
