北京时间6月28日，据NBA名记Woj报道，消息人士透露，掘金将雷吉和三个不受保护的次轮签（2025年、2029年和2030年）送至黄蜂，雷吉执行下赛季525万美元的球员选项。
黄蜂队记Steve Reed跟进报道称，掘金将从这笔交易中获得薪资上限减免，而黄蜂则未放弃任何东西。
上赛季，雷吉为掘金出战82场，场均可以得到10.2分1.9篮板3.8助攻。
