《模拟人生4》开发商Maxis Studios宣布在捏人环节增加性取向选项，具体包括：会被哪种性别吸引；愿意与哪种性别探索浪漫关系；在成人模式“WooHooing”中对哪种性别感兴趣。同时性取向可以在游戏过程中发生变化。
以上内容将于7月28日免费更新，EA方面表示目前限于技术只提供“男”和“女”的二元选项，后续会增加更多元的选择。
