当地时间5月8日，劳拉·费尔南德斯在哥斯达黎加首都圣何塞宣誓就职，出任哥斯达黎加总统。
2月1日，哥斯达黎加主权人民党候选人劳拉·费尔南德斯在总统选举中获胜。她领导的主权人民党在立法大会选举中赢得57个席位中的30个，成为第一大党。
劳拉·费尔南德斯出生于1986年7月4日，曾任哥斯达黎加国家规划与经济政策部长及总统府部长。（总台记者 邓雪梅）
