当地时间1月22日，美国驻委使馆官网显示，劳拉·F·多古被任命为美国驻委内瑞拉使馆临时代办。多古曾任美国驻尼加拉瓜和洪都拉斯大使。
美国与委内瑞拉于2019年断交。自去年以来，美国驻哥伦比亚使馆临时代办约翰·麦克纳马拉一直以代办身份负责美国对委内瑞拉事务。（总台央视记者 马天静 曹健）
