如今,光热纳米材料的发展已不再仅仅是为了产生热量;其目的是实现精确的热管理、能量级联,以及光热转换与其他物理和化学过程的整合,以应对水资源、能源和环境领域的全球性挑战。本期特刊旨在探讨先进光热材料如何推动高效相变、催化化学反应以及管理热能储存。该特刊的一个关键关注点是突出提高太阳能利用效率的新机制——特别是通过太阳界面蒸发实现清洁水生产,并与其他能量收集技术协同工作。我们希望聚集能够突破热力学极限和材料稳定性界限的高质量成果。我们特别邀请原创研究论文和综合综述文章,它们不仅限于报告标准效率,还能深入洞察决定高性能光热系统的热动力学和材料相互作用。

Today, the development of photothermal nanomaterialsis no longer solely for heat generation; it is to achieveprecise thermal management, energy cascading, andthe integration of photothermal conversion with otherphysical and chemical processes to address criticalglobal challenges in water, energy, and the environment.This Special Issue aims to explore how advancedphotothermal materials can drive efficient phasetransitions, catalyze chemical reactions, and managethermal energy storage. A key focus of this issue ishighlighting novel mechanisms for enhancing solarenergy utilization efficiency—specifically through solarinterfacial evaporation for clean water production and itssynergy with other energy-harvesting technologies. Weseek to gather high-quality contributions that push theboundaries of thermodynamic limits and materialstability. We specifically invite original research articlesand comprehensive reviews that move beyond standardefficiency reporting to offer deep insights into thethermal dynamics and material interactions governinghigh-performance photothermal systems.
