1月9日，据湖南高速警察消息，1月1日14时许，（湖南交警接到报警，称在衡邵高速35km（西往东）处，一辆小车撞上了右侧护栏，车辆严重受损，所幸没有人员受伤。经询，邹某当天独自驾车从邵阳前往衡阳，途中他开启车辆的辅助驾驶功能后竟睡着了，直至车辆继续行驶了20多公里方向偏移撞上了右侧护栏。
