当地时间11月6日，美国前众议院议长南希·佩洛西宣布，2026年将不再竞选连任国会众议员。美国总统唐纳德·特朗普对此回应称，美国总统特朗普表示对此“很高兴”，称佩洛西退休对美国来说是件“大好事”。
现年85岁的佩洛西自1987年起担任众议院议员，累计任职近四十年，并于2007年成为美国首位女性众议院议长。
佩洛西与特朗普多次公开交锋，并在2019年及2021年主导针对后者的两次弹劾程序。
