江西新余学院10月16日发布情况通报：10月16日上午9:40许，学校保安人员接到求助电话称有一流浪犬只出现在食堂餐厅，为防止师生健康和人身安全受到威胁，保安人员立即赶赴现场，因处置不当导致该流浪犬只死亡。目前，新余学院已对涉事保安作出开除处理，并对此事造成的不良后果深表遗憾和歉意。
