当地时间7月18日清晨，哥伦比亚救援机构宣布，经过长达12小时的救援，此前被困的18名矿工已全部获救。
7月17日，哥伦比亚安蒂奥基亚省东北部雷梅第斯市的一个金矿发生塌陷，18名矿工被困。雷梅第斯市长办公室报告说，矿井水槽内装载材料的运输架坠落，导致矿井出口结构坍塌，影响到通风系统。（央视新闻）
