7月8日，WTT美国大满贯男子单打1/32决赛，林诗栋3-2（11-6、6-11、11-5、9-11、11-5）战胜法国选手泊雷特，取得开门红。
赛后采访中，林诗栋表示：“双方发挥都非常好，也打到了决胜局，上去对球台有点不适应，后面好一些。 ”
下一轮，他将对战冯翊新VS哈贝松的胜者。
