5月24日台“立法机构”负责人韩国瑜，在出席活动时公开表示，两岸都希望和平，“我们不要战争”。
他表示，有一批台湾人抛出“台独”行为，造成了两岸关系的紧张，岛内民众十分担忧。
他认为，两岸只能互相密切的来往交流，携手共创更美好的经济发展。
