辽宁地处东亚—澳大利西亚候鸟迁飞通道上，是候鸟迁飞途中重要的停歇地。3月初，今年第一批候鸟已经到达辽宁多地。在盘锦辽河口湿地，斑头秋沙鸭、天鹅、丹顶鹤在这里栖息、觅食。
