意甲第37轮，在保级生死战中萨索洛主场0-2不敌卡利亚里，提前一轮降入意乙。
萨索洛在2012-13赛季以意乙冠军的身份，队史首次升入意甲联赛。在意甲征战11年后，本赛季萨索洛目前仅仅取得7胜8平22负的战绩，提前一轮降入乙级联赛。萨索洛征战意甲期间最高获得过第六名，并参加了2016-17赛季的欧联杯比赛。意甲联赛中萨索洛制造了许多经典战役，传统豪门也经常在其身上翻车。
目前萨索洛阵容中还有皮纳蒙蒂、贝拉尔迪。卡斯蒂列霍等明星球员。
