3月6日，交通运输部南海救助局“南海救103”轮停泊在广州救助基地码头，记者受邀上船探访。“南海救103”轮是由中国自行设计建造的深远海大功率多功能综合救助船，总长136.9米，型宽26.7米，型深11米，设计吃水6.5米，系柱拖力350吨，续航力16000海里，自持力达90天。
