日本东丽公司开发出了拥有该公司主张的“全球最高”强度的碳纤维“TORAYCA T1200”，拉伸强度达8.0GPa。除了高尔夫球杆的轴承和钓鱼竿等体育用途之外，该公司还打算向汽车和飞机机身等领域推广，力争到2026年前实现量产。此前该公司的碳纤维产品线中强度最高的“TORAYCA T1100”的拉伸强度为7.0GPa。（日经新闻）
