西门子1月16日发布声明称，西门子与印度铁道部签署总价值约为2600亿卢比（32亿美元）的电力机车合同。
西门子将在11年内为印度铁道部制造并交付1200台9000马力电力机车，并提供35年的全程服务维护，这是西门子有记录以来最大机车订单。
