2021年9月1日，洛阳地铁2号线开始为期3个月的空载试运行。
洛阳地铁2号线贯穿洛阳南北发展轴，线路起于国家牡丹园附近的二乔路站，止于伊洛路与龙门大道交叉路口的八里堂站，全长18.3公里，全为地下线，共设站15座，其中换乘站3座。
