今天我们讲丰收女神\谷神\农神Demeter，她也是宙斯的姐姐，罗马名：Ceres。其词根是Mater, meter=mother.衍生词 Alma mater（母校）, maternal（母亲的）, metropolis（大都市，大都市就好像母亲的子宫，孕育了众生）, metropolitan（前者形容词形式）, metro（metropolis的简写，也有地铁之意，地铁就是在大都市的肚子里穿行的）, matrix(万物产生的基础，发源地，子宫), matron（主妇；保姆；女舍监，都带有母亲的职责）, matrilocal（入赘女方的）, matriculate（入学。毕业后，学校就成了你的母校）。丰收女神的罗马名ceres也就是grow的意思，万物需要生长才能丰收，衍生词:cereal（谷物）, create（创造）, increase（增加）, decrease（减少）, recruit（招聘就是增加人手), crescent（新月；逐渐增加的。新月如钩，总会慢慢变成满月的）
