据外媒7月3日报道，近几周来关于苹果手机传感器位置的传闻甚嚣尘上，有报道称其将置于正面屏幕下方或手机背面。但是台湾凯基证券的分析师郭明池称，苹果将有第三种选择，即完全舍弃Touch ID指纹辨别器，选择采用全新的面部识别系统。
