香港特区政府财政司司长陈茂波8月9日发表网志表示，今年上半年约有175万旅客参与超过130项盛事活动，为香港带来约58亿港元的消费额，经济增加价值约为33亿港元。展望下半年，香港将举办超过100项盛事活动，预计将吸引逾185万旅客参加。
