记者从国铁集团获悉，今年上半年，全国铁路累计发送旅客23.48亿人次、同比增长5.0%，创历史同期新高。上半年，铁路客运能力供给精准高效，圆满完成春运和清明、五一、端午假期运输组织，满足旅客假期出行需求，多项客运指标创出新高。5月1日全国铁路发送旅客2484.4万人次，创单日旅客发送量历史新高；中老铁路发送跨境旅客18.8万人次、同比增长25.9%，广深港高铁发送跨境旅客1696.2万人次、同比增长13.8%。
